Casual Duty Technician – Installer

We are looking for a suitable qualified Gallery Technician (Casual Duty Technician – Installer) to join our team at Moonah Arts Centre. You will be responsible for artwork handling and preparation, installation, and demounting of exhibitions, supporting artists and the team with curatorial and technical advice and contribute to gallery maintenance when required. Ensuring a strong attention to detail and high standards for exhibition presentations at Moonah Arts Centre.The successful applicant will have:A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the visual arts specifically in the installation of visual art exhibitions.Proven experience and knowledge of exhibition gallery lighting and technical equipment.Experience and knowledge of venue and event risk management.Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and autonomously on specific projects.Qualifications required:Hold (or willing to obtain) a current First Aid Certification, Working at Heights and Working with Vulnerable Person’s check.Position Hours: Casual, as required.Salary range: $65,867.67 to $73,123.90 pro-rata, plus 25% casual loading. Equivalent to $42.33-$46.88 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading).
